Purpose: Use this endpoint to lock the Motive card of a driver. Locking a Motive card allows companies to prevent misuse of the card in case of theft or loss. It also prevents any unauthorized or fraudulent use of the card.

NOTE

A Motive card can only be locked by Fleet Managers/Dispatchers or users with admin permissions or access to the group to which the card belongs. Drivers cannot lock a Motive Card.

Points to remember

• A Motive card that is still not yet "active", cannot be locked.
• A Motive card that currently "frozen", cannot be locked. You must reach out to the Fleet Admin/Manager to unfreeze the card first, and then proceed to lock the card.
• A Motive card that is "deactivated", cannot be locked.
